Currently we are searching for a Lead Editor who would manage our English-language brand media about Qatar, QIC Reads.

About the position

Responsibilities

Create content plans based on business and marketing needs, contribute to sales and other business objectives of the product and brand (awareness, traffic, etc.)
Conduct research, write, and edit content for our branded media
Demonstrate a high standard of editorial judgment and headline writing skills
Analyse content performance data and make adjustments to optimise for lead generation and conversion metrics
Organise processes for working on blog and media materials, including project coordination, compliance etc.
Recruit and organise external resources for article writing and collaborate with creative talents
Stay up to date with global business trends and innovations

Requirements

Previous media experience, preferably at a branded digital media
Experience in resource management, content production, and working in a publishing/digital editorial environment
Strong understanding of editorial processes, from writing texts to editing, proofreading, integrating video, and design materials
Proficient English (С1) writing and communication skills; knowledge of Arabic will be a significant advantage

Long-term service agreement contract with QIC with 3 months probation period

Payment in US dollars monthly to your bank account using SWIFT
Full-time remote, work schedule: 5 days per week, Sunday to Thursday, GMT +3 timezone
Vacation policy: Qatar Holiday Calendar, 20 days of vacation, and 10 sick-day-offs
Performance reviews are conducted twice a year, with the possibility of a raise in March and September
Potential opportunity to apply for a Qatar ID and relocation to Doha, Qatar
