About the position

We are looking for a Head of Technology (a.k.a Chief Technology Officer) to join our department and oversee several areas while leading a team of 100+ people in engineering teams.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage and develop a team of software engineers, ensuring they have the necessary skills and resources to deliver high-quality software products
  • Develop and maintain the software development roadmap, ensuring that the product roadmap is delivered according to commitments and velocity
  • Collaborate with product management to define and prioritise product features and enhancements, and ensure timely delivery of product releases
  • Work closely with the customer success and sales teams to understand customer needs and feedback, and incorporate those into the product roadmap and engineering plans
  • Ensure software development processes and methodologies are in place and followed, including agile development practices, continuous integration and deployment, code reviews, and testing to achieve high quality software and predictable project delivery
  • Manage and optimise software development budgets and resource allocation. Participate in strategic planning and decision-making for the software development department and the company as a whole

  • Docker, Kubernetes, GCP, Vmware, Hyper-V, Kibana, Grafana

We offer

  • Long-term contract with QIC with a 3-months probation period
  • We are diverse — our digital nomads work remotely from 20+ different countries
  • Full-time remote, work schedule: 5 days per week, Sunday to Thursday, GMT +3 timezone
  • Vacation policy: Qatar Holiday Calendar, 20 workdays of vacation, and 10 sick days off
  • Your salary will be subject to review as part of the company’s regular Performance review process
  • Future relocation to Qatar: we provide full support with obtaining your Qatar ID (QID), relocation assistance, and flexibility for hybrid work from our Doha headquarters to ensure a smooth transition
